Introducing the Amazing Stuart Fowler!
Hey
It's (the amazing) Stuart Fowler and I'm so pumped about being on JB Waterloo Exec.! For almost four years I've watched the Exec plan activities and I'm so excited to be able to help out for a change. This year we had so many new applicants, all with new ideas and talents so I have no doubt that the chapter will be in store for some fun CISVing.
My Latest News
JB Waterloo just had an amazing Mini Camp and I ran my first activity! Me and Jared ran "The Shoe Game" and it went really well. The kids responded great and Oh! the drama we created! Looking forward to helping our chapter Bloom and I'll keep you posted on everything I'm excited about!
Well, I got my first real lesson about how JB exec works. So we had our November activity all planned out, we were planning on having a dodgeball war to teach about "war prevention" and stuff. But when I got there I was getting some nervous glances from my other execers and I was looking for the bad news. I soon found it. There was glass in the room and therefor we couldn't play dodgeball. So what do you do when you have two hours, a bunch of excited kids and no activity? We quickly made a game that was a "boot camp"/"Obstacle course" that turned out well. It really showed me how we have to do things "on the fly" and I now know that almost never does an activity go smoothly.

A few quick facts...
I play guitar
I play goalie for the Waterloo Panthers B soccer team
I am a cook (ladies and gentlemen, I am a cook (inside joke with Ellen Fowler))
I have been to Japan, Brazil, USA and hope to go somewhere for a summer camp
I was the lead role in my school's opera (actually it was a musical but I want to call it an opera)
I love CISV because: It brings lots of people together, brings out their best qualities, helps people learn from other people and understand their culture and then spits them all back out as responsible leaders of the future. :)
I have been to six different minicamps
I go to a camp in Northern Ontario
I have a new Baby Cousine
My favourite breakfast is melted chedder on a Montreal style bagel. I eat it when ever we have bagels.
I HATE playing songsfrom this era on guitar. No seriosely, I only play old stuff like "Sweet Child O Mine" and "Purple Haze". I guess the old classics are just really catchy. I wonder what it takes to become a classic? And what if when I'm forty, all the stuff I hate to play becomes classic and everyone's like rockin out to Billy Talent and I'm like "How bout some good old Neil Young?"
When Christmas rolls around I Get in the Mood. By this I mean that around our house the lights go up around November 10th, I have all my presents planned out by December 1st and I make the breakfast on Christmas morning. It's more like a feast with my home-made pancakes, maple syrup, fruit salad, chocolaty treats and lots of Bacon!
