Even though he defines himself as a citizen of the world, Marcos actually has a nationality. Salvador-born rocker Marcos Tourinho counts with a long trajectory within CISV. And no, he doesn't dance samba nor plays a good game of football. But he can eat brigadeiro like the most Brazilian person you've ever met.

If you fuel Marcos with a few beers and put him in his last world cup as IJR, he might be able to find his inner original Brazilian football strength and amaze everyone who thought he was a bad player... yet ROW still lost 3-0! Let's just blame it on a lack of beer fuel!

Marcos has always been very committed to JB Brazil and was NJR for the period of 2003-2005. In August 2008 he finished his term as IJR and as a member of the International Mosaic Committee.

In his spare time between all of his traveling, he studies International Relations and Political Science in Paris, France. He also owns an admirable rock collection and plays the guitar. He loves listening to Rod Stewart while cooking, and his specialty is meat with rice, potatoes and farofa.
