HOT NEWS

X-MAS JB DAY

We also had a meeting during the X-mas period, where Sinterklaas has arrived so we got some presents and enjoyed the nice festive atmosphere and than we decided to do something revolutionary by creating a Christmas video made for the whole world and explaining better how do we celebrate Christmas in the Czech republic. If you wanna have a look and a good laugh please see the link below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRS2kA4LhHc

CZEPOLAUT-FOR NOW REMAINS OFFICIALLY NONAME

Brand new idea of fist and legendary cooperation between counties that are were close to each other and have quite similar cultures. Nothing is set yet, it is just and idea. It stated as possible cooperation with Poland but recently lead to- "let´s make it 3 idea" so we asked Austria to join us.

There is not such a thing as a set date, set time, set topic or not even a name. But we are hoping for a process. Cause we would really love to see this happening. With only three countries it is easier to focus on every single country directly and personally.

JB WORKED HARD IN THE KITCHEN OF SUMMER CAMP OVER THE RAINBOW

We also organized a summer camp in the Czech republic this year, and it was a big success, but it wouldn´t be such and amazing experience for the participant without a great food. And there would be no food if we wouldn´t have 10 amazing juniors, who came to Černošice, took some time off from their holidays, were waking up early and making the delicious meals.

Some stayed for a week some did for longer but all of them did amazing job. Thank you all! You were great!

JB T-SHIRTS AND SWEATHERS

YES!It really happened. For the first time in the history of Czech JB we have a material that we are proud to have and we love to wear.

The gorgeous design was made by our special design maker Monika Baudisova, who did a lot of hard work for all the CISV materials that were coming up in the last year. Posters, clothes, logo design and many others. So special thanks for doing all the great things and having these brilliant ideas. Already looking forward to the new upcoming ones.¨

NEW JUNIOR

Natalie Schinkova was elected in May 2011 as an early replacement for Míša Grochová who couldn´t do her job anymore.

Natalie has been to a lot of summer programs and very active member of national junior branch but didn´t have many chances to experience the international level yet. You will have the pleasure to meet her in EJBM 2012 in Brussels.

If you are over excited and can´t wait you are more than welcome to join any of the cool events of JB czech republic. Experience czech free style, have loads of fun and meet our synchronized NJR duo.

Thanks to Natalie the tandem has not only someone irresponsible, unorganized, crazy, who is making a lot of noise but also someone responsible, organized, calm and mature. Could you imagine a better balance???

WHAT WE MANAGED TO DO THIS SEASON

JB VIDEO UPDATE 2011

JB DAY BRNO

For the first time we had a JB DAY outside of Prague. What other place could we choose than the second largest city, the wonder of Moravia, the real treasure- Brno.

Quite many juniors bothered and traveled all the way from Prague, and finally we also had all juniors from Moravia attending. Since for some it was the first time in Brno, we played a treasure hunt and wondered around Brno to get to know the city a bit and sight see. Also we had a chance to get to know the JB international a bit better.

Than we went to have some fun, made some videos and played with Indonesian kite.

ONE DAY ONE GOAL FOOTBALL MATCH

This year we followed every year tradition with organizing peace one day again. We stuck with the cool idea of football match for second time. We had five teams including CISV team, which was a big success.

But it wasn´ t just about the game but also about getting to know new people, eating lovely sausages (so eastern!) made by Míra Šmíra, our professional cook for this year POD edition, having fun, smiling together and finishing the day with delicious and very original POD cakes . The CISV team didn ´t win the match but it was a huge success anyway.

Next year we are expecting to change the strategy and make something different than football game. Also next year we will hopefully make POD not only a JB but CISV Czech republic national event. Looking forward to it already.

GO EAST

Was for second time organized by the Czech republic. We managed to reach the target number of participants: 40, and also had a great variety of participant and also staff members.

The topic Historical Identity was rather interesting, cause it wasn´t the classic JB meeting theme at all so it showed us we could move a different direction. I think everyone brought back home something interesting from this meeting. Some people came back home with new friends of facebook, some with friends for life. Some learned new thing about themselves, some managed to gain a lot of new information and some had opportunity to share their wisdom and knowledge about the history.

I have to admit it there was also sometimes classical czech freestyle present. But it helped us to improve in organization a lot and we gained important experiences we will use in future. And after all everyone was leaving with a happy face. Hoping to see most of you in next Go East in Berlin.

JB DAY-PAINTBALL

As we decided to stop being ordinary and do something fun during our JB days, we went to play paintball. It really made a lot of people come and many juniors were quite excited about the fun activity so we will probably stick with it and do something fun and active again, cause it helps the group feeling and also brings us together.

You can have a look at the pictures to see how much fun we had and how colorful that JB Day was.
