- Are you itching with a thought?
Writing for IJB Thinks is something you can do (and should do someday)! Articles have included topics such as re-branding, the history and future of IPPs, long-distance projects, increasing the role of academics in CISV and many more.
Authors have been Juniors, Committee Chairs, Trustees and members of the IJB Committee - and it could be you! Anyone and everyone is welcome to write.
And, again, don't forget: on IJB Thinks, you can speak out. You can reply, question, criticise or support any article at all. All of this and letters to the Editor should be sent to ijbthinks@ijb.cisv.org

History & The Idea
The creation of IJB Thinks was part of a process carried out by IJR Marcos Tourinho in 2006 to refresh and re-invent the IJB Infoletter. The re-invention of the infoletter consisted of analysing the goals and problems to the Infoletter, and adapting that concept to adress the needs of JB globally. The outcome was the creation of two new publications - IJB Thinks and JB Connect.
The idea was that IJB Thinks would be a cool, fresh, smart and interesting publication, and that its good articles and prettiness would encourage more and more people to share their wildest thoughts. This creates a channel of communication between thoughts and ideas on a regular basis, keeping CISV's brain alive and active - at the same time as challenging individual's thoughts and minds.
While reading its first call for articles, it's easy to understand what is the spirit behind the IJB Thinks. Click on this link to see the IJB Thinks Release Video.
"Hello Friends,
As you should have seen (if not check [this http://www.ijb.cisv.org/news/archives/000791.php] out), the International Junior Branch has a new publication. Being a part of the plan to renew the IJB Publications, IJB Thinks was created with the intention of being a cool, thoughtful, interesting, refreshing and to-the-point publication. It was made to be a true contribution to the development of the organisation and to the personal development of our volunteers.
IJB Thinks is not a JB-centred publication. Also, it isn't just for juniors. It is an IJB contribution to the process of thinking and re-thinking this organisation, its means and ends. Articles should be interesting, well thought and, if possible, somewhat surprising.
You are very welcome to contribute, if there is any issue you want to think, talk and discuss about we're happy. Feel free to write to us and see which is the best way to include this contribution – it can be from IJBC World Cup to the escalating Conflict between Ethiopia and Eritrea; from the prices of IJBC/AIM to the impact of public transportation in your personal life. Just anything.
Since we're planning to publish the #1 still before Christmas, you're welcome to send articles until the 10th of December - but you can do it now if you want. Spread the word.
It's up to you. Think, ReThink¸ Contribute, Distribute, Act, ReAct.
Marcos Tourinho
Editor | Intl. Junior Representative"
