Proposal #26: Interchange - expanded.

I propose that International Interchange Committees co-opts a number of new members experienced in what has been known as JB-X and what is known within Brazil as Interplus in order to develp a new form of the interchange program suitable for the range of age 16-18. Once this format is in place studies may be done in order to use interesting features of the program also during "regular" interchanges.

Rationale

For a lont time already CISV International has been talking about a gap of activites for 16-18 years old people. In the meanwhile in different parts of the organization different proposals came out which has not been considered enough by the official level of the organization. It's about time to seriuosly look into the problem to avoid that CISV members of a very active age would leave the organization cause not able to find room.

Respectfully submitted, Teo (ITA)

{Visit the interchange website to learn more about IC. JB-X is a programme that was invented by juniors at the EJBM (European Junior Branch Meeting) in 1999 - here's an old infoletter about JBX. Basically it is a two-week interchange between two JBs, that unfortunately died a few years ago, even if most people involved thought it was a great idea. Interplus is a simmilar idea, hosted within Brazil - if you know Portugese, check this page.}

Proposal #25: Ease Fund 100.

I propose to create a new fund in CISV international that makes 100 GBP available to any kind of project any CISVer may wants to come up with. Applications are sent in by e-mail and cannot contain more than 100 words. Applicants will be informed about the approval or rejection of their application within 100 hours. Oh, and 100 such proposals will be accepted a year.
A few more things:
  • Ease Fund 100 grants do not have to match CISV international budget items.
  • Ease Fund 100 grants can cover travel, travel, travel, or anything else.
  • No receipts or reports are needed, however a short story (no longer than...right...100 words) about the success of the project (that shall be posted on the Ease Fund 100 website) will make the applicant eligible for another application (even within the same year).

Rationale

Quick ideas need quick money.

Respectfully submitted, Nick (GER)

Proposal #24: United CISV Nations.

I propose that all CISV camps and activities include an activity to develop understanding of United Nations.

Rationale

UN with all its limit, is so far the only entity with the power of saving what is left of the peace in the world today. Everybody should know its mechanism and respect it, working to make its
action more effective.

The inclusion in CISV camps (seminar, interchange, iym, village and summer) could be done using the framework of Model UN as "learning by doing" tool of CISV.
